The quest to be whole
I have always had a passion for learning and love devouring new ideas, applying them, and sharing them with my own voice. When my mum took her own life when I was 17, my passion for learning, out of deep necessity, was directed to studying everything that screamed ‘I can help you’ in the realms of body, mind and spirit teachings. Over the past 23 years, on the quest to process and heal my own pain, I have explored LOTS of different paths to healing from spiritual practices to psychotherapy to yoga to body work to energy healing.
What I’ve discovered along the way is that I have an affinity for the lesser known modalities in the world of healing. What’s worked for me in becoming whole again (and continuing to uncover and heal as life progresses) is exploring practices and remedies my heart and intuition have led me to. Many of these I share in my Kinesiology practice today.
Over the next little while, I would love to share with you the story of some of the practices and remedies I share with clients (as well as with myself and my family) particularly in helping to process, integrate and heal trauma and grief holistically. Bearing in mind that your trauma may not be what you think is extreme and grief may follow something other than the loss of a loved one. Also understanding that in my opinion - anxiety and depression are often underpinned by trauma and grief.
One by one, I will explain a number of powerful practices and remedies - how they are understood to work, the research behind them, my own experiences with them and those of clients and others who have experienced their healing power. In this way, giving you a little taster of what’s out there for you to explore that might not be part of the conventional or mainstream approach to healing but that might be so helpful for you.
As I continue to explore healing modalities (forever!) I will bring you more stories of some of the healing practices I don’t currently use in my clinic - hopefully sharing even more insight and inspiring you to follow your heart and intuition to the healing path for you. Maybe like me, you believe that there isn’t just one healing path that works for everyone and that grief and trauma cannot be healed using the mind alone.
I can’t wait to bring you these stories that may honestly be life-changing. Stay tuned for the first one that will be released soon.
